Happy snow people add color and fun to a 17" x 48" table runner. The clean center allows plenty of space to position a centerpiece.
This is a quick project made with some simple piecing and fusible web appliques. Start with two colorful border prints and a plainer fabric for the center, and add the snow people. Use machine zigzag stitch for outlining and attaching the appliques, add a bit of hand embroidery for eyes and mouths, and call it done.
If preferred, the appliques can be turned 90 degrees to face one side or the other.
Each applique grouping fits into a 10" square block to use in a larger quilt or to as a wall hanging.
