This darling 12' x 12" mini quilt is filled with love, and makes a great Valentine's Day display. A sweet, appliqued apartment building with Juliet balconies decorates the main block, and four 3" x 3" paper foundation pieced hearts complete the quilt.
Make the mini quilt to display in a frame or on a wall, or use it as a quilt block or a pair of quilt blocks in a larger quilt. The house block is 9" x 12", and the four hearts, when arranged in a column, are a 3" x 12".
Fusible web applique is stitched in place with a machine blanket stitch making construction of the apartment building quick and easy. The balconies and the potted flowers are embroidered by hand. Tiny button doorknobs complete the details. Paper foundation piecing allows for accuracy in making the hearts.
The pattern contains clear, detailed instructions, and is illustrated with well placed photographs. Templates and a layout plan are full size. Four separate paper foundation patterns are included for the four hearts.
