About Me
I retired from teaching elementary school several years ago and suddenly found that I had hours of uninterrupted time to devote to my hobbies. Those hours filled up unbelievably quickly. I love reading, going for long walks, eating lunch with friends, playing with my daughter's dogs, and baking for everyone I know, but most of my time is spent in my sewing room.
I've always loved sewing and I can't remember a time when I didn't have a drawer filled with art supplies and reams of paper filled with sketches. The combination of my love of sewing and my passion for art came together in my quilts, and before I knew it, I was designing patterns.
I love the entire creative process, from design to finished project. I don't have any but the most basic of computer programs, so my designs are made the old fashioned way, with pencils, pens, tons of paper, and a light table.
My shop name, K Lee 2 Strings comes for my name, Karen Lee, and the two threads for spool and bobbin that are used in my sewing machine.
