Summer means cool flip flops and spending time outdoors near the water. The center Dresden plate on this 24" table topper is surrounded by flip flops that look as though they are placed at the edge of a cooling pool. The wavy, scalloped background lends flowing motion to the topper and provides that "wow" factor. So pretty for your table, be in indoors, on a patio, or by a pool.
The project is perfectly suited to using fabric scraps. The flip flops are quickly made with fusible web and raw edge applique. The Dresden plate can be attached to the background with either hand applique or with a machine zigzag stitch using invisible thread.
The pattern contains full size templates for the Dresden plate wedges, the scalloped border wedges, and the flip flops. Instructions are complete and detailed with numerous photos to help explain steps. Two internet links to help with making and attaching the bias binding are included.
Please contact me if you come across any questions or snags while using this pattern. I'll be happy to help in any way I can.
